02The evidence meter

We grade the evidence, never the person.

A complaint is not a conviction, and a lawsuit is not a judgment. Each record carries one grade that says how far its evidence goes. The grade moves only when the record does — and no one can pay to move it.

  1. A

    Adjudicated

A court, regulator or other competent authority has ruled.

  2. B

    Proceeding

A case, charge or official inquiry is open. Nothing is decided yet.

  3. C

    Documented allegation

Named, credible sources make the claim. No authority has ruled.

  4. D

    Documented indicator

A checked fact or pattern. On its own it proves no wrongdoing.

  5. X

    Cleared, Reversed or Resolved

Cleared, dropped, overturned or settled with no finding. Kept, and marked.

03Inside a record

Nothing is published without a document behind it.

01
Status on every point
Each material point is labelled as decided, in progress, alleged by a credible source, or a checked fact.
02
Claims stay claims
What someone says happened is never written up as what was proved.
03
Numbered sources
Citations name the document, who issued it and when. Follow [S-01], [S-02] to the source list.
04
Reply before publishing
People and companies named get the findings and fair time to answer. Material replies go on the record.

05Restricted research system

Meet Lens.

Lens is our in-house research system. It brings identity, company, court, ownership and regulatory records about the people and businesses we document into one view, so an investigator can test a lead quickly — and see clearly what the records do not show.

Access is limited to verified law-enforcement and government staff and legal professionals. Every request is reviewed.

06From tip to record

Five stages before anything goes live.

  1. 1

    Stage 1

    Research

Investigators work through open sources and public records — and make inquiries in person where that is justified — to pin down who and what is involved.

  2. 2

    Stage 2

    Evidence file

Judgments, company filings, regulator material, interviews and other documents are gathered, checked for authenticity and put into one file.

  3. 3

    Stage 3

    Legal review

Where a matter needs it, lawyers review the evidence and the proposed wording first — in the UAE and in any other jurisdiction involved.

  4. 4

    Stage 4

    Editorial review

A writer works only from the verified file. Editors cut anything the evidence cannot support and check every grade.

  5. 5

    Stage 5

    Publish & maintain

The record goes live with its sources, grades and the subject's reply. New developments, corrections and evidence are added as they come.

08Quick answers

Questions people ask us

What is Dubai Scammers?

Dubai Scammers is a public-interest records site. It documents people, companies and legal matters linked to fraud and scams with a connection to Dubai and the UAE, using court judgments, regulator material, official filings and other sources a reader can check.

Does a record here mean someone is a scammer?

No. Being named is not a finding of guilt. Each record states whether it covers an allegation, an open case, a regulatory action or a final decision, and is graded on that basis.

How is information checked before it goes live?

Records are built from identifiable sources. The documents are reviewed, each material claim is checked against them, and the people named are asked to respond.

Can someone named in a record respond?

Yes — before publication and at any time afterwards. Relevant responses become part of the record.

How do I get something corrected?

Tell us which statement you dispute and send the evidence or legal documents that show it is wrong. Valid corrections are made and logged under our corrections policy.

Can anyone pay to have a record removed?

No. We accept no payment, favour or other consideration to remove, hide or change a record. Changes follow evidence, never money.
